The Durban University of Technology (DUT) has officially opened late applications for 2025. While many programs are already filled, a selection of courses is still accepting applicants.

Whether you missed the initial deadline or recently decided to pursue a new career path, DUT's late application process might just be your second chance. Here’s everything you need to know.

 

DUT Selected Courses available for 2025

Late applications are only being considered for specific programs, including:

Bachelor of Applied Science in Sport Science and Management

  • Requirements: English, Mathematics, Physical Science, or Life Science, with 28 points.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Textile Science

  • Requirements: English, Mathematics, and Physical Science, meeting NSC Degree entry standards.

Diploma in Engineering Technology (Civil Engineering)

  • Requirements: Mathematics or Technical Mathematics and Physical Science or Technical Physical Science, with 28 points.

Diploma in Management Sciences (Human Resources)

  • Requirements: English, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, and a total of 25 points.

Diploma in Ecotourism

  • Requirements: English, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy, Accounting, Agricultural Science, or Life Science, with 25 points.

How to Apply for DUT 2025 Late Applications Selected Courses?

If your chosen program is on the list, here’s how to proceed:

  1. Visit the Central Applications Office (CAO): All applications must be submitted via www.cao.ac.za.
  2. Prepare Your Documents: Ensure you have all required documents ready, including certified copies of your ID, academic transcripts, and proof of payment for the application fee.
  3. Pay the Application Fee: Late application fees vary depending on your location:
    • South African Applicants: R250
    • International Applicants: R470

  • No Walk-ins Allowed: DUT will not accept walk-in applications on campus. Any vacant spaces will be filled through CAO applications only, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
