Physical able to lift and/or move heavy objects and supplies. Ability to operate machinery and equipment used in domestic Clinic cleaning services. Willingness to rotate to other clinics in the Sub District.
No payment of any kind is required when applying for this post. Candidates will be subjected to a practical/written assessment. The pool of applications will be considered for vacancies within Central Karoo District, for a period of three months from the date of the advert, provided that the job title, core functions, inherent requirements, and salary level are the same as those of the advertised post.

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse/waste products and to adhere to policies and cleaning procedures. Ability to operate machinery and equipment. Knowledge of legislation and policies of the Department of Health and Wellness relevant to cleaning practise.
General cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance (i.e. dust/sweep/ polish/ scrub/ mop/ clean windows/ walls/equipment/machinery and refuse removal.) Ensure effective Waste management, Linen Management etc. Effective and efficient utilization and storage of cleaning materials and equipment. Provide optimal support to the supervisor and colleagues with general housekeeping duties and services. Adhere to general hygienic and safe environment in terms of standards and procedures.
Minimum Educational Qualification
Basic literacy and numeracy.
Experience:
Appropriate cleaning experience in a health environment.
Salary: R 138 486 per annum - R 163 131 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).

· Physical ability to pick up and move heavy boxes or bags.
· Physical ability to pull heavy pallets containing stock to the various Wards using a pallet jack.
· Willingness to assist with stock-taking.
DUTIES:
· Pick and deliver issued stock timeously to wards, clinics, theatres and departments in a cost- effective and safe manner.
· Maintain the audit trail of deliveries
· Assist with the receiving, issuing and the storage of stock.
· Clean stores on a regular basis.
· Assist with stock taking.
· Any ad-hoc duties.
