Skills Development - HandPicked Professional Farming Programme

HandPicked is an innovative skills development programme designed to prepare youth for meaningful careers in forward thinking, modern horticulture. It equips the participants with the practical abilities and mindset to thrive in a technology driven and evolving agricultural sector. This is a 6-months agri-Intern programme, comprising of hands-on work on the hybrid-hydroponics incubator while participating in an online course that, will provide participants with NQF 5 level credits and a certificate of completion at one of South Africa’s rural universities (UniVen).

Mr Price Foundation is inviting passionate, unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 33 to apply for a 6-month skills development programme in modern horticulture.

This exciting opportunity offers hands-on training in sustainable agriculture and hybrid-hydroponics, helping participants gain practical experience and workplace readiness skills while preparing for a future in agri-innovation.

Participants will receive:

- A monthly allowance of R3,500

- Practical training tailored to the African context

- Life skills and workplace readiness support

- Access to innovative agri-tech tools
