This junior-level position is open to both internal and external applicants and offers a market-related salary within a highly regulated and professional nuclear environment.

Job Purpose:
Decontamination and general cleaning of all radiologically controlled areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontamination of contaminated areas, articles and equipment

• Efficient removal of contamination

• RPO clearance of contaminated areas

• Assisting with compacting radioactive waste in red drums

• Erection of red areas as required by operational and maintenance teams

• Safe radioactive waste management in line with procedures (RR-OPR-0066, RR-OTR-0017)

• Ensuring correct equipment is used at all times

• General cleaning and housekeeping of Building P-1800

• Delivery of mail and fetching supplies from stores

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness

• Participation in internal training programmes, BBS, TIR & DIIR

• Maintaining good attendance and HR compliance

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent

• In-house training will be provided

• Registration as a radiation worker
