Key Responsibilities
Cash Receiving & Processing
• Receive deposits and update on applicable systems
• Comply with company policies to eliminate risks
• Process deposits according to bank SLAs and SOPs
• Prepare workstation for efficient note counting
Container & Deposit Control
• Inspect containers/bags for tampering or damage
• Report anomalies to Team Controller
• Acknowledge containers on applicable systems
• Ensure deposits are processed and balanced on the same day
• Keep customer deposits separate at all times
Note Sorting & Reconciliation
• Sort deposits (FDP/ACDP) within cut-off times
• Send rejected notes to Reject Teller with required documentation
• Reconcile rejected notes to validate accuracy
• Manually check for counterfeit, dye-stained or mutilated notes
• Perform vault cash transfers
• Complete end-of-day balancing and reconciliation
• Handle shortages and surpluses according to SOPs
Coin, Payroll & Treasury
• Process bulk coin deposits according to SBV policies
• Process payroll and change transactions within SLAs
• Seal floats and prepare for dispatch
• Assist with ATM and bank cash packing
• Record seal and bag numbers accurately
Equipment Management
• Utilise equipment according to SOPs
• Report equipment defects to Team Controller
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 with Maths Literacy
• 6 months cashier/teller experience (Advantageous)
