ECD Learning Hubs Pilot Programme

Are you a youth-led Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre ready to grow your impact?

Mr Price Foundation is launching a pilot programme to support five majority youth-owned or youth-run ECD centres in Limpopo, Eastern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal. Selected centres will receive micro seed funding of up to R50,000, along with tailored support to become thriving ECD Learning Hubs.

What's in it for your centre?

•         Up to R50,000 in micro-grants for infrastructure and programme development

•         Business development training (finance, marketing, compliance, planning)

•         Academic support to improve school readiness, literacy & numeracy

•         After-school programme strengthening

•         Mentorship from business and education specialists

•         Resource packs for teaching, learning, and operations.

Who should apply?

•         Majority youth-owned or youth-managed

•         Registered with DBE (Bana Pele) or DSD

•         Operating for at least 2 years Offering or planning to offer after-school programmes

•         Equipped with basic infrastructure (classrooms, toilets, water, play area, kitchen)

•         Ambitious and committed to improving service delivery.

How to Apply

Step 2: Email your application with the following supporting documents:

·         Proof of youth ownership or management (e.g. ID copies, governance documents)

·         Registration certificate from DBE or DSD Photos of facilities (classrooms, toilets, play area. kitchen, etc.)

·         Proof of operation for at least 2 years.

·         Description or plan of your current or intended after-school programme

·         Motivation letter explaining:

-          Why yourcentre should be selected for the pilot

-          How the micro seed funding will be used to strengthen your centre's infrastructure or after-school programming
