  • Cleaning external areas, corridors and entrances.
  • Removing litter and waste.
  • Disposing of waste according to hospital waste-management procedures.
  • Cleaning staff and MHCU patient kitchen areas.
  • Cleaning refrigerators, microwave ovens and other designated equipment.
  • Washing dishes, cups and utensils.
  • Safely using and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Cleaning spills immediately to prevent accidents.
  • Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet paper, deodoriser blocks and air fresheners.
  • Completing cleanliness checklists, attendance registers and delegation registers.
  • Reporting maintenance defects, hazards and shortages.
  • Maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  • Performing other reasonable duties delegated by the supervisor.
