- Removing litter and waste.
- Disposing of waste according to hospital waste-management procedures.
- Cleaning staff and MHCU patient kitchen areas.
- Cleaning refrigerators, microwave ovens and other designated equipment.
- Washing dishes, cups and utensils.
- Safely using and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Cleaning spills immediately to prevent accidents.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet paper, deodoriser blocks and air fresheners.
- Completing cleanliness checklists, attendance registers and delegation registers.
- Reporting maintenance defects, hazards and shortages.
- Maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
- Performing other reasonable duties delegated by the supervisor.
