Company Background
The South African Police Service (SAPS), in partnership with the Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA), is offering a 24-month Workplace Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Programme for unemployed graduates.
This programme forms part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy, aimed at providing young South Africans with valuable workplace experience in the safety and security sector.
The internship provides graduates with the opportunity to gain practical exposure in fields such as social work, psychology, crime intelligence, auditing and risk management, while contributing to the work of SAPS across the country.

1. Social Work Interns (16 Posts)
Locations include:
• Bhisho
• Bishop Lavis
• Graaff-Reinet
• Mthatha
• Oudtshoorn
• Ulundi
• Tshwane
• Phillipi
Minimum Requirement:
• BA Social Work Degree (NQF 6 or higher)
• Registered with SACSSP
2. Psychologist / Trauma Counsellor Interns (13 Posts)
Minimum Requirement:
• Honours / B Psych Degree in Psychology
• Registered with HPCSA
Responsibilities include counselling services, mental health programmes and support services for SAPS members.
3. Crime Intelligence Analyst Interns (8 Posts)
Locations include:
• Bloemfontein
• Johannesburg
• Durban
• Polokwane
• Nelspruit
• Kimberley
• Potchefstroom
• Bishop Lavis
Minimum Requirement:
• Degree / Diploma in Sociology, Criminology or Political Science
4. Internal Audit Interns (9 Posts)
Locations include:
• Pretoria
• Polokwane
• Potchefstroom
• Bloemfontein
• Durban
• Cape Town
• Kimberley
• Nelspruit
• East London
Minimum Requirement:
• Degree / Diploma in Internal Audit, Accounting, Commerce, Financial Management, IT or related fields
5. Risk Management Interns (2 Posts)
Location:
• SAPS Head Office, Pretoria
Minimum Requirement:
• Diploma / Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Internal Audit or Business Continuity Management
6. Integrity Management Interns (2 Posts)
Location:
• SAPS Head Office, Pretoria
Minimum Requirement:
• Degree in Public Administration, HR Management, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Law or Policing

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
• Be a South African citizen
• Be between 18 – 35 years old
• Have a National Senior Certificate (Matric)
• Have no criminal record or pending cases
• Be unemployed
• Have never participated in a similar internship programme
• Apply for maximum of three positions only
