Security Monitoring

You may also:

  • Operate and monitor control-room security equipment
  • Conduct building and premises patrols
  • Check offices and access points
  • Identify security and safety risks
  • Monitor relevant security systems
  • Keep security registers up to date

Emergency Procedures

The position includes responding to emergencies and security incidents.

You may be required to:

  • Apply emergency procedures
  • Alert emergency services
  • Alert departmental management
  • Identify fire hazards and other risks
  • Help maintain the safety of staff and visitors

Forest Security

Because these positions are within Woodlands and Indigenous Forest Management, some duties relate specifically to forest areas.

  • Ensure visitors entering forests have an approved licence as required
  • Assist with fire management in the forest
  • Report missing or stolen equipment and stores
  • Monitor activities within the forest
