Job Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
• Greeting customers and providing professional service at Home Affairs offices
• Performing online verification of applicants and checking status records
• Assisting with applications for identity documents, birth registrations, marriages, and deaths
• Processing Smart ID card collections
• Capturing client information and verifying supporting documents
• Operating live capture photo booths
• Monitoring records of cases and service requests
• Providing information and directing clients to relevant service units
• Ensuring customer service standards in line with Batho Pele principles
• Maintaining waiting areas and assisting with general civic services operations
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Undergraduate qualification in Public Management, Administration, Operations, Business Management, Law or Social Science (NQF Level 6)
• Qualification must be recognized by SAQA
• Basic understanding of the Public Service Regulatory Framework
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles
• Knowledge of fraud prevention and the Constitution of South Africa
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours
